Camryn Scharnhorst

A creative thinker ready to put strategic, results-oriented solutions to work for the country music industry.

The Rundown

Hi! I am so happy you are here! My name is Camryn Scharnhorst. I graduated from Kansas State University in May 2021 with a Bachelors of Science in Journalism and Mass Communications, with an emphasis in Public Relations.

Prior to my college career, I interned at 104.3FM, transferring Old Dominion over to my supervisor for an interview my very first day. Little did I know then that it was this very moment that solidified my decision to pursue a communications career in country music to ultimately become part of the country music family. A team of seasoned on-air personalities put their faith into a bright-eyed young woman —me—giving me the platform and opportunity to prove myself, building my confidence and skills. This is what country music is all about.

I yield years of industry experience and I am exceptionally well-versed in the day-to-day operations and functions of social media in the entertainment industry, particularly in country music. I've coordinated everything from social content strategies and digitally-driven campaigns to production involving radio stations and top-tier music talent.

I’m particularly qualified at establishing social media benchmarks for employers, curating and executing social strategies and deliverables to ensure that reach and engagement are maximized and that established objectives are met on-time and on-budget. I have an insatiable hunger for new social and cultural trends and the ability to capitalize upon them, converting them into actionable strategies that deliver results.

Beyond my education and past industry experience:

1. My love for country music runs deep. I considered myself a fangirl at the age of six, jamming to Brad Paisley, abandoning any aptitude for Disney’s hits of the 2000s.

2. Unlike many of my peers, I possess characteristics that often can’t be taught; I am resilient, adaptable, and persevere with a positive attitude through challenging situations. I realize country music can be a tough business, but that won’t hamper my ability to deliver results.

3. I lead by example, demonstrating integrity and commitment to a vision. I’ve perfected my collaboration skills and have an unprecedented ability to motivate my team.

I’ve operated with great diligence towards becoming a part of the country music family, successfully performing a communications role within the industry at the local and regional level, but I’m ready to take my career to the national stage.
